Tal Yarden Video Design
2009
Here’s a bit about the technical system for the show. We are using 3 Sony XDCAM EX3 cameras which are either handheld, on tripod, on a dolly & track or on a Glidecam. The cameras are teathered to the control with cable bundles that include HD SDI signal, genlock and tally lights. The switcher is a Panasonic AV-HS400. Both the cameras and switcher have been my favorite live production tools for the past year. The background plates are programmed and served from a Hippotizer which also feeds a two-projector panorama that is projected on the blue wall sometimes. The keys/mattes are done with an Ultimatte and the final color is done with an Xintekvideo colorizer. The projectors are Sanyo PLC XF47 and 2 PLC XF46s. A Behringer midi controller is used with the Hippotizer and Karl is in the process of working out some sort of show control which will run off a Mac through a LanBox.
