Tal Yarden has created video designs for numerous live events including dance, theater, opera and music performances. Recent work includes Ivo van Hove’s productions of Cries and Whispers, Angels in America, The Misanthrope, Lisa Loomer’s Distacted at the Roundabout directed by Mark Brokaw and Jessica Blank & April Yvette Thompson’s Liberty City (with co-designer Keith Skretch) at New York Theater Workshop. He is currently collaborating with Ivo van Hove and Jan Versweyveld on Angels in America for Toneelgroep Amsterdam and Wagner’s Ring Cycle (Das Rheingold with Patricia Fox) for the Vlaamse Opera.
Previous design work includes Ivo van Hove’s productions of Shakespeare’s Roman Tragedies, Mourning Becomes Electra (with Patricia Fox) & RENT (with Patricia Fox), Pavel Zustiak’s Le Petit Mort, Martha Clarke’s Kaos, Mark Wing-Davey’s Monkey in the Middle and Stephen Petronio's The King is Dead and Not Garden (with Patricia Fox). He has also designed for Reza Abdoh’s Tight Right White and Quotations from a Ruined City, and Tim Feldmann’s Twin-Project all of which have toured in Europe. In New York he has designed for John Jesurun, Jim Simpson, Mikel Rouse, DD Dorvillier’s, Mia Lawrence, Kyle de Camp, Conway and Pratt, and Margarita Guergue. Together with Patricia Fox he created the original productions of Corpus Exquisitus and A Dog and Pony Show.
He is a partner in Eyemag Media and has designed video installations & projections for many clients including Diesel, Puma, Levis, Heineken, Red Cross, Reem Acra, Armani, Visionaire, Ghost, Rosa Cha, Tokyo Street Pop, Timberland and Ford Motors.
Before working as a designer Tal Yarden was a video producer and director of music videos and documentaries.
